In the just-ended Golden Week, three parks including Zhengzhou Garden Expo Park, Shuanghe Lake Central Park and Ancient Yuanling City Relics Park in Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone attracted nearly 400,000 tourists. Tourism has become a new economic contributor of ZAEZ following the aviation-oriented industry.

On the occasion of the first anniversary of Zhengzhou Garden Expo Park, the Park designed a series of amazing cultural and entertainment activities, attracting about 203,600 tourists. Zhengzhou Garden Expo Park has hosted the 11th China (Zhengzhou) International Garden Expo and exhibited 94 gardens from 74 domestic cities, 18 foreign cities and another 2 designed by international landscape architecture masters in an area of 1,785 mu. The essence of garden arts from across the world was collected in Zhengzhou to provide visitors with a visual feast.

During the seven-day National Day holiday, Shuanghe Lake Central Park, a technological ecology-themed city park, received about 120,000 persons, half of which came for the fantastic water show of music fountain in the evening. Featuring a symmetric structure centering on its midline, Shuanghe Lake Central Park covers an area of 2,475 mu at Phase I and is planned to exceed 5,300 mu after completion, comparable to the Central Park in Manhattan, New York, which has hosted 1.26 million people since opening. “Fairy Crane” music fountain, 100 meters high and 220 meters long, is the high spot of the park, which is free to public at 7:30 pm from each Wednesday to Saturday. It is an irresistible attraction to the citizens.

Strolling in the Ancient Yuanling City, you may hear the drums from 3,000 years ago and feel the civilization in Qin and Han. Yaunling Ancient City Ruins Park hosted 47,900 tourists, a new high made in the National Day holiday. As one of the first ancient cities establishing the country government in Qin and Han and a national key cultural relic protection unit, the Park gives priority to the relic protection. It has "six orchards and nine gardens" to fully display the agricultural civilization in Qin and Han dynasties so as to highlight the cultural deposit through ecological improvement. It is about 1,920 mu in size and shapes a Ruyi together with Zhengzhou Garden Expo Park, manifesting the design concept of “the old and modern gardens connecting and communicating with each other".
