  • Secretary Ma Jian leads a team to participate in the first China International Import Expo

    In the morning of November 6, Ma Jian, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhengzhou Municipal Committee, secretary of the Party Working Committee and director of the Management Committee of Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, and Chang Jihong, deputy director of the Management Committee of Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, led a team to participate in the first China International Import Expo (CIIE). During the Expo, secretary Ma Jian visited automobile exhibition areas and intelligent and high-end equipment exhibition areas, consulted with a number of high-end equipment manufacturing enterprises, and conducted an in-depth discussion with a group of precision machine tool supply chain enterprises. At the exhibition areas of FEELER, Foxconn and Asahi Glass, Ma Jian listened to the report of Zhu Zhiyang, the chairman of FEELER Group and other corporate leaders, and encouraged their enterprises to further expand market shares with the help of the opening up policy.

    CIIE, planned, proposed and deployed by General Secretary Xi Jinping personally, is a major decision made by the Party Central Committee headed by Xi Jinping against a new round of high-level opening up. Themed with “New Era, Shared Future”, CIIE is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and Shanghai Municipal People's Government. It is a significant move for the Chinese government to actively open the Chinese market to the world and give firm support to multilateral trading system and trade liberalization, and also a practical action to promote the world economy more open and support the economic globalization. A total of 172 countries, regions and international organizations participated in the conference, and more than 3,600 companies participated in the exhibition. The total exhibition area reached 300,000 square meters, and more than 400,000 domestic and foreign buyers attended the conference to negotiate purchases.
